We live in the future! Let's take advantage of it.

One of my frequent preoccupations in the birth business is accessibility. It is very important to me that people feel comfortable and confident in the birthing process, which contributes to overall accessibility. After all, if people see their identities respected, wouldn’t they be more likely to see out services?

I’m proud to be queer-identifying, fat positive, and an always learning advocate for racial and socioeconomic justice.

Growing up as that aforementioned queer, fat girl in a small town, I remember the struggles I faced in finding allies and good information about ANY of my questions. So I got to thinking— how could I support families who physically may not have access to a doula or childbirth classes, both due to location or due to money/transportation constraints.

I want to be able to support as many families as possible, so I will begin offering online childbirth education (via skype/facetime/or other platforms). I know it’s not a perfect solution, but it’s one that I hope will continue to open doors to support for people going through the pregnancy and birth process.

Online sessions can be private, freeing space for questions. Online sessions can be convenient and fit into your life. And, not unimportantly, online sessions can be more financially accessible. I am offering one hour online sessions for $25 per session. My sliding scale fee still applies to these classes, so if you have questions regarding price do not hesitate to email or call me.

If you are looking for an option that is more flexible in this wide and busy world, contact me to set up a private online childbirth education class.
