How does virtual childbirth education work?
Before the class, I will mail you a paper manual, or email you a pdf (depending on your preference) with all the class content. I may also mail you some supplies for activities.
We will schedule dates where we can meet for at least an hour.
Using Skype, Zoom, FaceTime, Whatsapp, or Google Hangouts, we meet at a set time to have a one-on-one lesson.
How does virtual doula support work?
Virtual support looks much the same as in-person support before labor and up ‘til hospital entry. I will answer your questions and support you in-person laboring at your home if you wish.
I will use any of the previously mentioned apps to connect with you while you are in the hospital. I can offer support, give your partner ideas for helping, suggest positions, and help you breathe just as I would in-person.
I will still provide postpartum visits, virtually or in-person depending on the situation.
